Fans were shocked by this sudden announcement. The k-pop boy group MIRAE carefully decided that they would be ending their activities here!
However, the members thanked the fans for supporting and staying by their side for many years. It brought tears to the eyes of all the fans. Even though the members have gone their separate ways, you can be sure that they are happier than ever.
DSP Media's boy group MIRAE will disband after 3 years of debut. The agency officially announced on July 9, 2024 (KST), that the members have decided to end their group activities after much deliberation and discussion. The members shared handwritten letters on their official social media to bid farewell to their fans. Leader Lee Jun Hyuk told his fans:
“I learned a lot thanks to NOW (fan club name) during my time with MIRAE and am thankful for the memorable moments we created together.” Meanwhile, member Son Dong Pyo has decided to renew his contract with DSP Media and is ready to resume his solo activities.
“Actually, there were times when I felt broken and insecure, but even during those times, we were always together, walking alongside the fans to learn to stand up. Please watch over us as we pursue our dreams,” Boy group MIRAE previously made their debut in March 2021 with their album 'KILLA'.
They are seen as the next big idol group from DSP Media, an entertainment company known for producing notable groups such as Sechskies, Fin.KL, Click-B, SS501, KARA, April, and MIRAE. They become the first group to debut in 4 years after KARD, which will consist of members from survival shows such as 'Produce X 101' and 'Under Nineteen', among others.
