Red Velvet's Seulgi admitted that she had expressed an apology via her personal Instagram, on Saturday, July 13, 2024. This follows an incident at a Taiwan airport where Seulgi, a woman born in 1994, was accused of abusing her power.

The controversy began when a video emerged showing Seulgi walking wearing her manager's shoes. Meanwhile, the manager was seen having difficulty wearing Seulgi's high heels. The video quickly went viral on social media and became a hot topic in South Korea.

Responding to the problem that dragged Seulgi's name, the idol under SM Entertainment immediately provided clarification. On her Instagram @hi_seulgi, the singer of the song Bad Boy explained the reason she wears manager shoes.

"I apologize to the manager and everyone who was disappointed by what happened at the airport yesterday," Seulgi said. Seulgi explained that she wore her manager's shoes because her feet had recently been scratched and injured while practicing.

The heels she wore at the airport were not too high so she felt it would not cause a problem. Seulgi also admitted that she did not prepare spare sneakers to wear instead of wearing her manager's shoes. However, after walking in heels, the wound became more painful and made it difficult for her to walk.

Then her manager suggested that she change shoes only until leaving the airport so as not to affect her performance on stage. With that, he apologized to the many people who were disappointed by his actions towards his manager.

"I didn't think about other options when my leg was hurting and made bad decisions in pressing moments," she said. Seulgi also admitted that she had apologized personally to her manager. "I have apologized to the manager personally and will be more careful and vigilant to prevent this from happening in the future," she said.

It is known that Seulgi and the other Red Velvet members are in Taiwan to perform at the K-Mega Concert in Kaohsiung. Not long ago, Red Velvet made a comeback by releasing a mini album titled Cosmic on June 24, 2024.

In particular, girl group Red Velvet's comeback this time also marks their 10th debut anniversary. Red Velvet is known to have debuted in 2014 by releasing a digital single entitled Happiness. Up until now, they have released various popular works, such as Chill Kill, Feel My Rhythm, Psycho, and many more.
