Adult Swim officially announced that Rooster Fighter is officially adapted into an anime series. In recent years, Adult Swim has been busy presenting various new anime projects. Now they’re adding a Rooster Fighter adaptation to their list. 

Previously, Adult Swim had promised a few surprises at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, and one of those surprises was the announcement of a Rooster Fighter anime series. The anime is directed by Daisuke Suzuki, while Hiroshi Seko is in charge of series composition. Joseph Chou is in charge of producing and animation production is done by Sanzigen. 

This anime tells the story of the adventures of a rooster named Keiji who travels around Japan to defeat powerful mutant demon creatures in order to find the perpetrator who killed his sister. As you can guess from the title, the series will be filled with exciting chicken fights. You can check out the official announcement and teaser trailer below.

Rooster Fighter was first created by Shu Sakuratani on Hero Inc.'s Complex manga website in 2020. The manga has now been licensed by Viz Media for an English-language release. In the Rooster Fighter manga , readers are treated to an action-packed story where giant demonic monsters are destroying Japanese cities. 

Amidst the citizens fleeing in terror, a brave rooster stands firm against the threat. In a world filled with terrifying monsters, this rooster is destined to be a great hero. When giant demons threaten the safety of innocent people, this rooster is ready to show who is worthy to win the fight. No matter if the opponents are ten stories tall, no one can beat the spirit and roar of the burning fighting cock.
