Raúl Castillo has officially joined the sci-fi film project The Auction as the main star. Adapted from Deadline on Thursday July 25, 2024, this film was directed by director William Atticus Parker and inspired by Agatha Christie's novel entitled And Then There Were None.

The Auction is set at Aztec Corp., a company that auctions off antiques and rare animals. In the film, Raúl Castillo will play David Valdez, a sales representative at Aztec Corp. In addition to Raúl Castillo, Ben Vereen will play Valdez's father, and K. Todd Freeman will play the head of the company.

Raúl Castillo, Ben Vereen, and K. Todd Freeman will join Audra McDonald, Mary-Louise Parker, and Richard King in The Auction . However, details on the characters they will play have not been revealed. Director William Atticus Parker will not only direct but will also make his acting debut with his mother.

Filming is scheduled to begin next month in New York. An official release date is still pending. Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None , the film's inspiration, is considered one of the most thrilling mystery books of all time and has been adapted for film and television several times. 

The Auction is the latest project to attempt a memorable adaptation of the legendary novel. Raúl Castillo is known for his roles in the films Army of the Dead and Cha Cha Real Smooth. However, his career did not stop there. 

He also appeared in the films Cassandro, We the Animals, and Knives Out in 2019. Other cast members include Mary-Louise Parker, who previously appeared as Nancy Botwin in the series Weeds . Her performance earned her three Primetime Emmy Award nominations. 

She also starred in the action film R.I.P.D. , opposite Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. While Richard Kind has been in the Hollywood film industry for more than 20 years. His most memorable roles are as the voice of Bing Bong in the animated film Inside Out and as Max Klein in the film Argo.
