Actress Hyeri recently revealed the challenges she faced while starring in the new Korean film titled ' Victory '. The screening of the film Victory was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul on Monday August 5, 2024 and was attended by the director and cast, including Hyeri, who shared unique things about the film.

Carrying the theme of 90s teenagers, 'Victory' tells the story of the Millennium Girls cheerleading club with 9 members who are full of enthusiasm and youthful souls. The film is set in the nostalgic year of 1999 and combines the theme of cheerleading with other elements such as female hip-hop, broadcast dance, and soccer, offering a unique viewing experience.

Hyeri plays Pil Sun, a teenager who loves to dance. Despite her experience training in dancing as a K-pop idol, Hyeri admitted that she faced new challenges by learning hip-hop dance, cheerleading, and having to master the regional dialect to play Pil Sun.

Additionally, Hyeri expressed her deep attachment to the character, stating that Pil Sun was a very challenging role for her. According to Hyeri, the film 'Victory' gave her the opportunity to dance again after a long time, but the hip-hop style was still foreign to her and required her to learn new techniques.

She also emphasized the physical demands of playing the character of a cheerleader, where the activity is not just dancing, but like a sport. Despite the challenges, Hyeri felt proud when she finished filming the film. She and her co-stars performed all the scenes without a stunt double.

Hyeri also mentioned how the support from the director and production team helped her capture the passion and innocence of the character. Hyeri is a former member of the girl group Girl's Day and is currently pursuing a career as an actress. She is known for her natural acting and good character insight.

Previously, Hyeri has amazed audiences through her acting in a series of popular works, including 'Reply 1988', 'My Roommate Is A Gumiho', 'May I Help You', 'Moonshine', 'Two Cops', 'Miss Lee', and many more. Meanwhile, the film 'Victory' is scheduled to be released in theaters on August 14, 2024.
