JYP Entertainment's band Day6 will be holding their first concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome this December, marking their first concert at the venue after 9 years of their debut. Quoting from Allkpop on Thursday September 5, 2024, since 2017, Day6 has had a tradition of holding a year-end concert.
In previous years, Young K and friends only held their year-end concerts in small places such as Yes24 Live Hall, Bluesquare IMarket Hall, Olympic Hall, and Korea University Hwajung Gymnasium. However, this year they will hold their year-end concert in a bigger venue with more capacity, namely Gocheok Sky Dome.
This is due to the surge in popularity of their hits, both old and new, which are now dominating the domestic music charts. Gocheok Sky Dome itself can accommodate an average audience of 16,000 people. This is also an achievement for Day6, as the first K-Pop band to hold a solo concert at the venue.
The reason is, Gocheok Sky Dome is one of the most popular concert venues in South Korea, and usually only popular solo singers or groups with a large number of fans usually hold concerts here. On the other hand, Day6 will also start their third world tour series titled 'Forever Young' which will be held at the Inspire Arena for 3 consecutive days, namely starting from September 20, 21, and 22, 2024.
Day6 will also stop by Indonesia, holding concerts in 3 cities at once, namely Bali on October 13, 2024. Taking place at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center. Before visiting Surabaya on October 16, 2024, at the Jawa Pos Arena. And finally appearing in Jakarta for 2 days, on October 19 and 20, 2024, at the Beach City International Stadium.
On the other hand, Day6 also just made a comeback by releasing their ninth mini album titled 'Band Aid' on September 2, 2024 yesterday. With the main song 'Melt Down'. This album contains 8 songs in it. Including b-side tracks Monster, She Smiled, Shxtty Game, Help Me Rock & Roll, Counter, I'm Fine, and Still There.
