The South Korean entertainment industry is in mourning again. One of the Korean actors, Song Jae Rim, has died at the age of 39. On Tuesday November 12, 2024, the Seongdong police in Seoul confirmed that the actor was found dead in his apartment located in the Seongdong district, Seoul.
Song Jae Rim was reportedly found dead by a friend who planned to go out for lunch with the actor. In addition, two letters were also reportedly found at the scene as reported by Soompi. The cause of Song Jae Rim's death is still unknown, but according to police, no signs of 'foul play' were found.
Quoting from The Korea Times, Song Jae Rim's family revealed to Yonhap News that they will hold a simple funeral ceremony attended only by family. Song Jae Rim was born in Seoul, South Korea on February 18, 1985. Before becoming an actor, he started his career as a runway model.
In addition, he has also appeared in various famous fashion magazines such as Dazed Korea, Nylon Korea, Esquire Korea, GQ Korea, and many more. Song Jae Rim began his acting career in 2009, and his name began to be known after starring in Moon Embracing the Sun (2012).
