Light Shop is a Disney+ original Korean drama that stars Park Bo Young as one of its main players. Ahead of its premiere, the production team has leaked the character she will play. The Korean drama Light Shop follows the story of a unique lighting shop that lights up dark alleys and attracts mysterious guests with hidden secrets.

The series is based on a webtoon by artist Kang Full. After writing the drama adaptation of his webtoon Moving, Kang Full also wrote the script for this project, which marks actor Kim Hee Won's directorial debut.

Quoting from Soompi on Saturday October 26, 2024, Park Bo Young will play Young Ji, who works as a warm-hearted nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Young Ji prioritizes her patients' recovery above all else and maintains a bright attitude while working in the ward.

Later, the audience will also see Young Ji with a completely different facial expression, her eyes filled with fear when she sees something, thus arousing the audience's curiosity. Park Bo Young commented, “I had confidence in this project because I had read Kang Full’s webtoon. I didn’t hesitate to join because it was directed by Kim Hee Won.”

Actor Kim Hee Won, who is making his directorial debut with the series, also expressed, “I hope Bo Young can show a new side of herself through this project. I am very grateful that she decided to join us.” Before starring in Light Shop, Park Bo Young also played a nurse in the Korean drama Daily Dose of Sunshine (2023).

During her career in acting, the 1990-born actress has always displayed her stunning acting qualities in several drama titles such as Strong Gil Do Bong Soon, Doom at Your Service, Oh My Ghost and many others. Meanwhile, Light Shop, which consists of eight episodes in total, will premiere four episodes on December 4, followed by two episodes every week for the next two weeks.
