NewJeans has finally announced the name of their new group and is ready to debut in the near future. Quoting from Allkpop on Friday February 7, 2025, the five members of NewJeans consisting of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein have announced that they will be rebranding with a new name ' NJZ ' amidst the conflict with their old agency, ADOR.

NJZ will perform for the first time under their new group name at the ComplexCon event scheduled for March 21 - 23, 2025 at the AsiaWorld Expo Convention Center, Hong Kong. According to CNN reports , NJZ has also prepared a new song for their debut performance at the ComplexCon event later.

The organizers of 'ComplexCon Hong Kong 2025' also shared several new photos of the NJZ members with their new images and concepts. Appearing charming with a touch of futuristic style, NJZ successfully stole the attention of fans with their new name and appearance.

"Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein will be performing under a new group name: NJZ. Get ready to experience an exciting journey with NJZ in 2025! Stay tuned!" ComplexCon wrote in its announcement. 

Meanwhile, ComplexCon has also confirmed that NJZ will be the headliner for this year's 'ComplexCon Hong Kong 2025' festival.  Along with other headliners, such as Quavo, Metro Boomin, and Zico. NJZ's appearance at the 'ComplexCon Hong Kong 2025' festival also marks NJZ's first appearance under the new group name. 

NJZ is expected to showcase previously unreleased songs and performances. Ticket sales for the event 'ComplexCon Hong Kong 2025' will open on February 12, 2025, at 16:00 HKT. Following the announcement of their new group name, NJZ has also changed their Instagram account name to @njz_official. 

Previously the account was named @jeanzforfree and was used to communicate with fans outside of the official NewJeans account opened by ADOR. NJZ has also shared a number of new profile photos, both individual photos and group photos, with a more aesthetic and modern concept.
