Baekho, former NU'EST member, has officially ended his exclusive contract with PLEDIS Entertainment. The news was announced by the agency along with his last single with the agency.
“The exclusive contract with Baekho will officially end on March 14, 2025. Through in-depth discussions about his career direction, both Baekho and PLEDIS Entertainment have agreed to terminate the contract,” PLEDIS Entertainment said on Thursday, March 6 ,2025.
“Since his debut as a member of NU'EST in 2012, Baekho has built his career as a singer-songwriter while expanding into musicals, variety, and other divisions,” he said. The agency also announced a digital single will be released on March 14, 2025 along with Baekho's contract expiration date.
“Baekho will be releasing a single on March 14, 2025, marking the official completion of his contract as an artist under PLEDIS Entertainment,” he said. "We are very grateful to Baekho for working with us during these years.
We hope that Baekho's new direction will lead to a brilliant future and we wish him all the best," he continued. "We also thank dOnO (fan group) who support Baekho's side. We ask that you love and support Baekho's new journey with a big heart," the agency concluded.
Baekho debuted as a member of NU'EST in 2012. His group career was slow until he gained attention in 2017 when he was a contestant on Produce 101 but did not make it to the debut group.
Three years later, it was revealed that Baekho was the victim of support manipulation for the group. Baekho successfully pioneered his solo career after ending his career with his group. He released several singles and one mini album.
