Park Bo Gum shared the moment when he joined the drama When Life Gives You Tangerines. The South Korean actor revealed his interest in director Kim Won Suk and the drama he made.

“I was a fan of his so when I got it and filmed it after my military service, I knew how detailed the director and writer were with this project,” Park Bo Gum said at a press conference on March 5, 2025. "I can feel through the chemistry that is presented and it can't be missed and can be watched with family.

It was a good decision to join this project," he said. Furthermore, Park Bo Gum also felt happy to be able to meet IU as a co-star. Although they already knew each other, they acted together for the first time through this drama.

“I was touched that we worked together because we worked together when we were young in a commercial and now we’re in our 30s and we’ve grown together and worked together as actors,” Park Bo Gum said.

"It's not always easy to be friends with actors of the same age on set and she played Ae Sun well. If we could work together again, it would be interesting," he said. Besides Park Bo Gum and IU, When Life Gives You Tangerines also stars Moon So Ri and Park Hae Joon.

When Life Gives You Tangerines follows Ae Sun (IU) and Gwan Sik (Park Bo Gum) as they navigate their relationship on Jeju Island. The drama will be releasing four episodes weekly starting this week on Netflix.
