SHINee's Taemin has become a hot topic online due to his upcoming concert at the KSPO Dome in April 2025. The ticket prices for the concert have sparked much debate online, with fans sharing their opinions on the cost and tiered pricing system.
Taemin's concert is scheduled for April 26-27, 2025. The concert will have varying ticket prices depending on the seating. The "GAZE" section will be priced at 198,000 won, while the R section will be available for 154,000 won. For those who choose Section S, tickets will cost 132,000 won.
According to the agency's announcement, all prices include VAT. This tiered system, which offers different prices based on seating sections, has drawn backlash from various fans. Fans have been giving positive feedback about Section S, stating that the tickets are much cheaper compared to the other sections.
Many are happy that they can get tickets at a cheaper price while still enjoying the show. Fans seem to think that a tiered pricing system makes sense, considering the differences in scenery and experience. Looking back at Taemin's last concert in 2023, there was no tiered pricing system in place.
The "Metamorph" section ticket is priced at 198,000 won including access to the soundcheck event, while the general ticket is priced at 154,000 won. Fans who attended the concert two years ago had to pay the same price for all tickets, regardless of their seats in the venue.
Taemin's concert ticket pricing structure has sparked much discussion with fans weighing the pros and cons. Most agree that a tiered pricing system is a must with the rising prices of K-Pop concert tickets in recent years.
" I'm bad with tickets so I always end up with seats in the back but if it's around 130k won it's a good deal [sic!]," wrote one fan. " I really like the tiered pricing system [sic!]," added another. " Honestly, having a fixed price for all seats feels unfair, so tiered pricing is better [sic!]," another fan said.
" I like the tiered pricing system. Haha [sic!]," another added. " I'm jealous [sic!]," another fan continued. Meanwhile, Taemin's agency recently made an important announcement regarding the idol's position in SHINee after leaving SM Entertainment.
"We fully support and encourage SHINee's activities, which Taemin greatly values. At the same time, we are committed to ensuring fair treatment for him and providing the necessary support for his career," said the agency Big Planet Made.
