Kim Soo Hyun has been blamed for the decline in ratings for Good Day, a variety show hosted by G-Dragon. Because Kim Soo Hyun had appeared in three episodes of the program. Initially, Kim Soo Hyun's presence received good sympathy and went viral on social media.

As a result, Good Day made many edits to remove the actor's parts. Since its release on February 16, 2025, Good Day has continued to experience a decline in ratings. It peaked in the sixth episode which aired on March 30, 2025. In that episode, Good Day achieved a rating of 2.7 percent in Seoul and 3 percent nationally.
The rating also dropped drastically. In fact, in the first episode, Good Day managed to achieve a high rating of 4.9 percent in Seoul. However, in the seventh episode that aired on April 6, 2025, the rating increased to 3.3 percent in Seoul.
Media such as News1 and Wikitree also reported that Kim Soo Hyun was the main cause of Good Day's continuously declining ratings. "The production team is fully aware of the severity of the controversy involving one of the cast members and is continuing with production while prioritizing the reactions of viewers," the Good Day team said in mid-March 2025.
"Episode 5 that aired yesterday was immediately edited to remove Kim Soo Hyun's footage from the 'Good Day General Assembly' segment. As a result, episode 5 is about 10 minutes shorter than usual and lacks detail," he continued. In fact, G-Dragon's presence as a host of a variety show was highly anticipated by his fans.
Moreover, Good Day managed to present many famous guest stars. However, the program's rating continued to decline after the Kim Soo Hyun controversy occurred.
