Kim Soo-hyun officially filed a new lawsuit against Kim Se Ui, or the person behind the Garosero Institute account, which raised the controversy over underage dating, regarding the stalking case on Wednesday April 2, 2025. Kim Se Ui is the operator of the Garosero YouTube channel, Hoverlab.
LKB Partners, the legal team representing Kim Soo-hyun, stated that the lawsuit was aimed at stopping Kim Se Ui's repeated "baseless" claims about its client. The law firm said that Kim Se Ui had spread fake news and malicious rumors about Kim Soo-Hyun on the YouTube channel.
Quoted from Yonhap, LKB Partners also asked Kim Se Ui to take responsibility for his actions over the past few days. The legal action comes just two days after Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference on Monday March 31, 2025 where the actor was seen crying while discussing allegations of dating the late Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor.
In his first appearance since the case emerged, Kim Soo-hyun immediately denied having a romantic relationship with Kim Sae-ron when the actress was a minor. The actor also questioned the validity of the photos and KakaoTalk messages presented by the Garosero Institute as supporting evidence for the allegations of dating a minor.
Kim Soo-hyun dismissed the evidence presented and said the photos were fabricated. Kim Soo-hyun's latest lawsuit also came after his party filed a lawsuit against the Garosero Institute and Sae Ron's family for spreading photos without pants along with other threatening actions.
Kim Soo-hyun filed for damages of 12 billion won. "We dated with good feelings and after some time, we broke up," said Kim Soo-hyun. "After that, we couldn't contact each other like we used to. Just like any other couple, contacting an ex after a breakup is something that is done very carefully," he claimed.
Since early March 2025, actor Kim Soo-hyun has been caught up in controversy due to his romantic relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron. On March 10, 2025, the family of the late Kim Sae-ron revealed via the Garosero Research Institute YouTube broadcast that Kim Soo-hyun had been in a romantic relationship with the actress for six years.
The romantic relationship even happened when Kim Sae-ron was still 15 years old or under the legal age. Gold Medalist as the agency founded by Kim Soo-hyun had denied the rumors circulating in 2024. However, the agency finally confirmed that the actor had dated Kim Sae-ron after many intimate selfies between the two celebrities circulated.
