MEOVV has finally announced their comeback with a new album. Through an upload on MEOVV's social media account on Sunday April 13, 2025, MEOVV is scheduled to make a comeback in May with their first mini album. The mini album titled ' My Eyes Open VVide ' will be released on May 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. KST.
Welcoming the release of their first mini album, MEOVV is also scheduled to release a pre-release single titled 'Hands Up' on April 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM KST. Along with the announcement of the title of the new album and its official release date, MEOVV also shared a teaser video to attract fans' attention.
The re-uploaded teaser video features the group's signature, a black cat character as a mascot. Showing a pair of sharp cat eyes amidst the expanse of dark skies, clouds, and the sound of scattered thunder, it seems that this comeback will also continue to carry a dark and mysterious concept.
Fans also welcomed MEOVV's latest album comeback with great enthusiasm because finally they would get the latest music and songs from their idol. Previously MEOVV only released 2 single albums containing 1 or 2 songs. At least with the mini album, Ella and friends will spoil fans with more new music.
Meanwhile, MEOVV debuted with 5 members consisting of Ella, Sooin, Gawon, Anna, and Narin. Before their debut, the five members successfully stole the attention of fans with their visuals and mysterious demeanor. They finally officially debuted in early September 2024 by releasing their first single titled 'MEOW' which also sounds like their group name.
A few moments later, MEOVV also made their first comeback by releasing their second single titled 'Toxic' on November 18, 2024. This second single album contains 2 main songs at once, namely 'Toxic' and 'Body.' In their second single album, MEOVV carries a concept that is very different from their debut single 'MEOW' which shows off the swag and confident side of the members.
The song 'Toxic' itself shows off more of the emotional side, while pampering fans with a series of beautiful vocals. The title track 'Toxic' also tells the story of someone who is trapped in an unhealthy relationship. The song is entirely sung with English lyrics, accompanied by a simple but catchy tune.
Fans are increasingly curious about what new genre MEOVV will bring through their first mini album comeback titled 'My Eyes Open VVide' later. Will they make a comeback with a swag and badass concept like their debut single 'MEOW' or will they try to show a different musical color from their previous 2 releases.
Not stopping there, fans also hope that The Black Label will not include a series of singles from previous releases into the latest album, because it will only reduce the quota of new songs, and seem repetitive.
