Choi Daniel will be a new member of Running Man. The actor was introduced in the latest episode of Running Man on Sunday April 6, 2025. In the episode, a special welcoming competition titled 'New Family' was held to celebrate Daniel's joining the team.
The personnel prepared a surprise welcome for the actor by ambushing Choi Daniel at his residence. In the footage, Yoo Jae Suk, Haha and Yang Se Chan are seen coming to Choi Daniel's house and taking the actor to the filming location as quickly as possible.
According to Nielsen Korea, the premiere episode with Choi Daniel brought Running Man a rating of 2.7 percent. This figure secures the number one position for the show that has been airing since 2010 among other shows airing at the same time.
In the last four years, Running Man has lost two of its members, namely Lee Kwang Soo and Jeon So Min. Lee Kwang Soo, who joined Running Man since its debut , decided to step down from the show after 11 years with it, in April 2021.
Lee Kwang Soo decided to step down because he wanted to focus on his acting career and was no longer able to go through the filming process and his rehabilitation was less than optimal. Meanwhile, Jeon So Min decided to step down in October 2023 after six years together.
