South Korean actor and former SF9 member, Rowoon will enlist in the military on Monday, July 21, 2025. News of Roowon's mandatory military service first circulated after it was reported by MyDaily.
FNC Entertainment, the agency that manages Roowon, confirmed the news. "It is true that Rowoon will be enlisting in the military on July 21," FNC Entertainment was quoted as saying by Soompi on Tuesday May 27, 2025.
Furthermore, the agency revealed that Roowon will enter the Army during his mandatory military service. "He will enter the training center and fulfill his military duties as an active soldier in the Army," he continued. Rowoon debuted in 2016 as a member of the boy group SF9.
However, Roowon chose to focus on acting after leaving the group in 2023. He made his drama acting debut with School 2017 and rose to fame thanks to his breakout role in Extraordinary You alongside Kim Hye Yoon.
Before his military service, Rowoon will hold a fan meeting titled Before Blooming on May 31 at Kwangwoon University in Seoul. He is also currently preparing to release his latest Disney+ original series titled The Murky Stream.
