Park Min Young will star in a Korean drama adapted from a Japanese work. On May 26, 2025, Amazon Prime Video confirmed that the first Korean drama produced by Amazon, “The Confidence Man KR” (working title), will feature actress Park Min Young.
This is an adaptation of the Japanese comedy “The Confidence Man JP”, which tells the story of three credit card scammers with extraordinary talents who fight against bad guys from all walks of life.
In the drama, Park Min Young will show off her versatility as Yoon Yi Rang, the leader of a group of genius scammers who steal money from greedy businessmen and illegal companies or mafia, by any means possible.
“Park Min Young’s participation in an Amazon original drama is not only a great achievement for the actress herself, but also marks a new milestone in the history of Korean content, ” said a representative of production company Higround.

Previously, it was reported that “The Confidence Man KR” will be directed by Nam Ki Hoon of “This Love Is Irresistible” and “Casino”, and written by Hong Seung Hyun - screenwriter of “Criminal Behavior” and “Psychic Detective”.
Filming for the 12-episode “The Confidence Man KR” began in September 2024 and recently wrapped up. The series is currently slated for a release in the second half of 2025. This will be the work marking Park Min Young's comeback after nearly 2 years, since the hit TV series " Marry My Husband" aired in January 2024.
Park Min Young's role as Kang Ji Won in "You Go Marry Me" has won much love from the audience and praise in the media. Park Min Young was praised for her convincing performance, transforming from a frail cancer patient into a fashionable office lady and satisfying the audience when she took revenge on her unfaithful boyfriend.
Additionally, Park Min Young is reportedly considering taking on the lead role in the drama “Siren” (working title), which is also an adaptation of the 1999 Japanese work “Kôri no sekai” (also known as “Ice World”), about an insurance investigator who gets caught up in a mysterious case involving the death of a female teacher.
