'Bastille Day' is back on Trans TV Cinema. This 2016 film will air on Sunday May 11, 2025 at exactly 23.00 WIB. Action genre, Bastille Day which is also known as 'The Take' is a film directed by James Watkins. He previously directed the films 'The Woman in Black' (2012) and 'Eden Lake' (2008).

The film brings together two famous British actors, Idris Elba and Richard Madden. Also present are actresses Charlotte Le Bon and Kelly Reilly. In order to get into the role in this film, Richard Madden had to undergo a series of physical training about a month before the filming process began.

"They made a 5-meter barrier that I had to run through, then jump and break through the window," Richard was quoted as saying by IMDb. 'Bastille Day' highlights an explosion that occurred on the night of France's independence day. The explosion killed four civilians and caused the police to investigate what happened.

A pickpocket named Michael Mason was accused of being the terrorist who carried out the crime. Mason denied it and told CIA agent Sean Briar that the bomb was in a bag containing a cell phone belonging to a woman named Zoe. The bomb was made by a group of corrupt police officers who intended to rob the French National Bank.

Zoe was initially ordered to plant the bomb at the French National Party office as part of a diversion from the bank robbery. The police track Zoe's whereabouts to several places to get evidence. Sean Briar's job, the CIA agent, becomes more challenging when Mason escapes from the investigation.

Bastille Day only grossed US$14 million, despite a production budget of up to US$20 million. However, the film is not too disappointing in terms of rating. IMDb gave it a score of 6.3 stars. Watch 'Bastille Day' on Trans TV Cinema on Sunday May 11, 2025 at 23.00 WIB.
