The late actress Kim Sae Ron's film, Guitar Man , has finally been released to the public. The premiere of the film was held at the Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday May 21, 2025.
Guitar Man is designed, directed, and produced by singer and actor Lee Sun Jung. Lee Sun Jung also plays the main character in the film. The film Guitar Man tells the story of Ki Chul (Lee Sung Jung), a talented guitarist who lives an uncertain life due to financial difficulties.
He joins a club band called Volcano as a guitarist through a friend's recommendation and meets keyboardist Yoo Jin (Kim Sae Ron). Together with the band, they begin a journey to find light and hope in the world.
Guitar Man was the last film that Kim Sae Ron shot before she passed away on February 16, 2025. The production process for this film was carried out after Kim Sae Ron was caught in a DUI case, aka drunk driving, in 2022. Meanwhile, the case of the late Kim Sae Ron with Kim Soo Hyun is still ongoing.
Most recently, a recording of Kim Sae Ron's conversation with one of her friends who lives in America emerged. The conversation revealed that Kim Sae Ron had an intimate relationship with Kim Soo Hyun when they were in junior high school.
