SEVENTEEN's S.COUPS and Mingyu are set to wow fans with their debut as a new unit. According to a Newsen report on Monday August 11, 2025, the duo will release a new album this coming September, officially marking their debut as SEVENTEEN's newest unit.
The two reportedly recently finished filming the music video for their album's title track in Los Angeles, United States. While in LA, S.COUPS and Mingyu caught the attention when they were spotted attending a baseball game between the LA Dodgers and St. Louis.
S.COUPS and Mingyu, who debuted with SEVENTEEN in 2015, have achieved numerous successes through hit songs. Their achievements have established SEVENTEEN as one of the leading artists in the global music scene. This new unit is expected to be a platform to showcase their unique strengths and personalities.
The arrival of the S.COUPS x Mingyu unit also serves as proof that SEVENTEEN, now entering its 10th year since its debut, continues to demonstrate its limitless potential. Since its inception, the group has been known for its three signature units—Hip-Hop Team, Performance Team, and Vocal Team—which allow them to showcase a diverse range of musical styles.
This innovative step was previously realized through the BSS unit (Seungkwan, DK, Hoshi) in 2018, which successfully became an icon for the younger generation, followed by the Jeonghan x Wonwoo unit in June 2024 with a stunning fantasy concept, and the Hoshi x Woozi unit in March 2025 which highlighted the chemistry of the 1996-born duo.
