Korean drama "Love Next Door" star Yoon Ji On, was caught up in a drunk driving scandal. The actor admitted all charges after being apprehended by police. As a result, he was forced to withdraw from the cast of "Positively Yours."

Previously, on Wednesday (September 17, 2025), News1 reported that Yoon Ji On was arrested by police after being caught drunk driving. Shortly after, a representative from IEUM HASHTAG released an official statement confirming the incident that occurred on Tuesday (September 16, 2025) evening.

Yoon Ji On's exclusive contract with IEUM HASHTAG expired on Sunday (July 6, 2025). Yoon Ji On is currently searching for a new home. However, his agency, IEUM HASHTAG, is temporarily representing him in response to the report.

"Our exclusive contract with Yoon Jin On expired on July 6, and we mutually agreed not to renew it. While he was searching for a new agency, we temporarily assisted him with his work, but as of now, we no longer have an exclusive management relationship with him."

"It is true that Yoon Jin On was arrested by the police for drunk driving on September 16. As a result, he has stepped down from Channel A's new drama, Positively Yours," said IEUM HASHTAG, as reported by Soompi.

The actor finally posted an Instagram post apologizing to the public. Yoon Ji On admitted to being so drunk that he didn't remember taking the motorcycle from the parking lot while drunk. He promised to cooperate with the investigation and accept any punishment imposed.

"Hello, this is Yoon Jin On. First of all, I feel very sad and regretful to convey this embarrassing news. On September 16, 2025, while so drunk that I couldn't remember my actions, I made a big mistake by riding an illegally parked motorcycle."

"I have admitted to all the allegations and am currently assessing the damages. Through my reckless actions, I hurt and disappointed many people who supported me. I truly have no basis in my defense. I sincerely apologize."

"I will live with regret and guilt for the rest of my life, and I will ensure that something like this never happens again. I will sincerely cooperate with the upcoming investigation and accept whatever punishment is handed down to me. 

There is no room for excuses. Once again, I bow my head in apology. I am sorry," Yoon Ji On concluded. Meanwhile, Yoon Ji On made his acting debut in 2016 as a supporting actor in the Korean drama "Memory." 

He is best known for his roles in the Korean dramas "Tomorrow" (2022) and "Love Next Door" (2024). Despite having already begun filming for his latest Korean drama, "Positively Yours," Yoon Ji On decided to leave the show after being caught drunk driving.
