Lee Yi Kyung and Jung Jae Young will reunite in an upcoming big-screen project. The two Korean actors have been confirmed as the leads in the film Generational Regret (working title). 

The project marks the reunion of Jung Jae Young and Lee Yi Kyung after starring in the drama Partners for Justice in 2018. On Tuesday (September 2, 2025), Jung Jae Young and Lee Yi Kyung were confirmed to star in the upcoming film Generational Regret. 

The project has reportedly begun filming. Generational Regret is a comedy with an intriguing occult twist. The story follows a father trying to protect his family from the wrath of ancestral spirits, while his eldest son attempts an exorcism. 

Jung Jae Young will play Yong Byeong, the father of the family, who is willing to spend his fortune on rituals to appease the ancestral spirits. Meanwhile, Lee Yi Kyung plays Yong Byeong's son, Bong Deok. 

He is a civil servant candidate who has failed the entrance exam seven times. His life is also hampered by the haunting of ancestral spirits. Generational Regret will mark the reunion of Jung Jae Young and Lee Yi Kyung after starring in Partners for Justice (2018). 

The two shared chemistry as a forensic doctor and detective through that project. In Generational Regret, Jung Jae Young and Lee Yi Kyung are expected to develop a father-son relationship. Their dynamic will be quite tense due to their opposing perspectives.
