A Belgian fashion designer recently attracted public attention after claiming that BLACKPINK's Jisoo had not returned the clothes she borrowed for work. Benjamin Bortmans, the designer behind the Antwerp-based label Judassime, posted a video on his personal social media with a rather harsh narrative.
In the post, he tagged Jisoo's official account and expressed his disappointment. "It's been six months since I sent some collections to Jisoo and her Korean team for album cover work. The schedule keeps getting pushed back, and it seems like they have no idea what's going on," Bortmans said.
The designer stated that he typically only lends items for a maximum of one month, but the collection has been held for six months. Three key pieces from his latest collection are of significant financial value. Bortmans admitted to sending contract documents and attempting legal action due to the lack of response from the management team.
He asserted that he no longer cared whether the clothes would be used; he simply wanted his belongings back. After the video went viral and sparked heated debate among K-Pop fans, Bortmans posted a follow-up video to clarify the situation. He explained that he didn't mean to attack Jisoo personally.
"I never actually attacked Jisoo. I just used her name to get a response from her team members. I just want my stuff back," she explained, urging netizens to stop the online attacks. As of the publication of this news, neither Jisoo nor her agency has issued an official statement or response regarding the allegations of delay in returning the costume.
