Netflix's Korean drama, 'Notes from the Last Row', has been garnering attention even before its premiere. Starring renowned actors Choi Min Sik and Choi Hyun Wook, this psychological thriller is also adapted from a popular Spanish series.

Choi Min Sik previously appeared as a feng shui master in the box-office hit Exhuma. Meanwhile, his co-star Choi Hyun Wook is a rising young actor known for his roles in the Korean drama sequels Weak Hero Class 1, Twinkling Watermelon, and My Dearest Nemesis.

Fans won't have to wait long. All six episodes of the Korean drama Notes from the Last Row will premiere simultaneously on Netflix on June 26, 2026. Notes from the Last Row follows the story of Heo Mun Oh (played by Choi Min Sik), a failed writer who later becomes a professor of Korean literature.

After discovering the extraordinary writing talent of a student who always sits in the back row of his class, Lee Kang (played by Choi Hyun Wook), Heo Mun Oh begins to develop feelings for the young man's writing.

Despite being a professor, Heo Mun Oh is moved by Lee Kang's talent. "You have talent. Come take private literature lessons with me. Once a week," Heo Mun Ah tells Lee Kang in the Notes from the Last Row trailer.

When Lee Kang refused, saying that the money from his part-time job was worth it, Heo Mun Oh responded with an unexpected response. He offered to pay Lee Kang the full amount of his full-time job salary to have him take his private lessons.

However, Lee Kang is actually observing other people's lives for his writing. Heo Mun Oh gradually begins to cross dangerous lines, trying to stop him, while also becoming increasingly obsessed with his own narrative.

One of the episodes released by Netflix Korea shows Heo Mun Oh approaching Lee Kang while he works part-time at a convenience store. What begins as a teacher-student relationship begins to spiral into obsession and tension.

At the end of the trailer for the Korean drama Notes from the Last Row, a mysterious fire incident heightens the tension. Viewers are left wondering why Lee Kang accepted Heo Mun Oh's invitation to join his private literature class and the hidden secrets behind his work.
