Xiaomi has shared detailed information about the rear cameras of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, which are equipped with a 200MP dual camera. As reported by GSM Arena on Tuesday (September 22, 2026) local time, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will be equipped with a 200 megapixel Leica main camera with a 1/1.28 inch sensor.
In addition, the phone also includes a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor. The periscope telephoto camera has an f/2.4 aperture and supports 3.2x optical zoom. It also has a 75mm focal length and can be used for macro photography from as close as 12cm.
Xiaomi claims the telephoto camera on the 18 Pro is capable of capturing up to 280 percent more light than the telephoto camera on the Xiaomi 17 Pro. Meanwhile, on the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, the company claims that its light capture capability has increased by 83 percent compared to the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.
In addition to revealing the specifications, Xiaomi also shared a number of photo samples taken using the main and telephoto cameras on the 18 Pro series. For the kitchen runway, both Xiaomi flagship phones are expected to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset .
The Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max were introduced in China today, Wednesday on September 23, 2026.
