It's official! Netflix has announced the main cast for the latest season of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. Ju Ji Hoon and Choo Young Woo are officially back in their white coats at Hankuk National University Hospital.

The two will play Baek Kang Hyuk and Yang Jae Won, respectively. Their mentor-mentee dynamic will be one of the most anticipated moments in the latest season of this Netflix original series.

Besides them, Yoon Kyung Ho and Jeong Jae Kwang also return as members of the Severe Trauma Care team. After the events of the first season, their character arcs are also worth anticipating. The officially announced new cast member is Jeong Yein.

The Lovelyz member is confirmed to replace Ha Young as Nurse Cheon Jang Mi from the first season. "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call has been confirmed to be in production for seasons 2 and 3 simultaneously.

They will appear in the drama," Netflix said in an official statement on Monday (October 19, 2026). Seasons 2 and 3 of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call will be directed by Lee Do Yoon.

He will also be writing the script for season 2, while season 3 will be handled by new writer Tomasi. There are no details yet on when season 2 of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call will be available to watch on Netflix.

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call tells the story of Baek Kang Hyuk, a genius trauma surgeon with experience in war zones. He's badass and has an outspoken personality. He's given a special mission to change the corrupt system at Hankuk University Hospital's trauma center.

Along with his team, he must confront the irony of the hospital: the more critical patients they bring back from the brink of death, the more the hospital loses due to spiraling operational costs.

When it premiered last year, this drama immediately became a Netflix favorite. Not only in Indonesia, but The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call also remained on Netflix Global's TUDUM chart for non-English TV series for quite some time.
