A Global Company Brand Sony had officially introduced the compact 6.1-inch Xperia 5 at IFA in September last year. The renders featuring fairly similar technology design to the current Sony Xperia 5.
Now looks like the company's struggling smartphone division is set to launch a "plus-sized" variant of the Xperia 5, called the Sony Xperia 5 Plus. The device will have an similar 21:9 aspect ratio as the Xperia 1 and the Xperia 5.
The Sony Xperia 5 Plus features will have a 6.6-inch flat OLED display with dual front-firing speakers. The phone have a quad-lens rear camera with one lenses and a Time-of-Flight (ToF) depth sensor, an 8MP front-facing camera. The device will roughly measure in at 168.2 x 71.6 x 8.1 mm (9.3 mm when you include rear camera bump).
There's no datails about the internal hardware, but we expect Sony will upgrade the device from the regular Xperia 5's Snapdragon 855, which would be appropriate for a 2020 handset.
The recent leak doesn't mention about when Sony might release the Xperia 5 Plus. However, the company might launch the phone during MWC in Barcelona next month.
