Tecno Mobiles has launched its budget category smartphone in India dubbed the Tecno Spark 6 Go. This is a scaled-down version of the Spark 6 which is yet to be released in India. The Spark 6 Go has been priced at Rs 8,499 for the Indian market and competes directly with the likes of the Redmi 8 and the Realme C11.

The Tecno Spark 6 Go is powered by a dated MediaTek Helio A25 SoC, with an equally-dated PowerVR GE8320 GPU, and 4GB of RAM. The 64GB of internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. Its 6.5-inch TFT panel has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels (~269 PPI pixel density) and a peak brightness of 480 nits. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that does not support fast charging of any sort due to its dated chipset and micro USB port.

The Tecno Spark 6 Go comes with two rear cameras. The primary 13MP sensor is assisted by what Tecno calls an AI lens, which, in all likelihood, is a depth sensor. Selfies and video calls are handled by an 8MP module located at a waterdrop-style notch on the phone's screen. Some camera-specific features include AI HDR, AI Beauty, Bokeh Mode, and Auto Scene Detection. The Tecno Spark 6 Go runs Android 10 customized with HiOS 6.2 on top.

The Tecno Spark 6 Go price in India is Rs 8,499 for the sole 4GB + 64GB configuration. Currently, the smartphone is only available via Flipkart in Aqua Blue, Ice Jadeite, and Mystery White colour options. Tecno Spark 6 Go sale date will be December 25th, with offline availability starting after January 7th.
