Huawei has launched a new Mate 40E model in China. It joins the Mate 40 line-up, which was announced in October last year. The Mate 40E features triple rear cameras, a Kirin 990E processor, and an OLED display.
The Huawei Mate 40E bears a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2376 pixels) OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone sports a punch-hole cut-out design with curved edges and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it houses a circular module with three cameras.
Huawei Mate 40E packs a triple rear camera unit comprising a 64MP primary sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom support. On the front, it offers a 13MP selfie snapper.
Huawei Mate 40E is powered by a Kirin 990E chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It runs on Android 10-based EMUI 11 and packs a 4,200mAh battery with 40W wired and 40W wireless fast-charging support.
For connectivity, the device offers support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, 5G, and a Type-C port. It is offered in Bright Black, Glaze White, and Secret Silver color options.
Huawei Mate 40E is up for pre-orders in China via Vmall and other retailers. It is priced at CNY 4,599 (roughly Rs. 51,500) for the 8GB/128GB model and CNY 5,099 (around Rs. 57,000) for the 8GB/256GB variant.
