Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 arrives as the successor to the Galaxy Buds+ that was revealed last year 2020. These earbuds are touted to be the lightest and smallest earbuds in the Galaxy Buds lineup. Although, the earbuds packed some premium features from the Galaxy Buds Pro announced earlier this year 2021.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 features dual dynamic driver with 6.3mm tweeter and 1mm woofers tuned by AKG. The TWS earbuds comes with Active Noise Cancellation support that cuts 98 percent of background noise and it also offers ambient mode in three levels. The Buds2 sports a rounder design that has a low protrusion which company states that it helps to minimize wind disruptions and provides a secure fit.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is packed with 61mah battery on each earbud that is touted to provide 7.5 hours of battery life when ANC is OFF and 5 hours when ANC is ON. The charging case is equipped with a battery capacity of 472mah that can provide 29 hours of battery life when ANC is OFF and 20 hours when ANC is ON. The new Galaxy Buds comes with fast charging, a 5 minute of charge can provide 1 hour of battery backup and charging case can be charged via USB Type-C and Qi Wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 comes with three noise cancellation microphone ( 2 outer and 1 inner ) and a voice pickup unit in addition on each earbud. These microphones helps in switching transparency mode, active noise cancellation mode, and much more. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 can Auto Switch between compatible Galaxy devices, customizable touch controls, wear detection, and more.
As for the pricing and availability, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is priced at $149 and the company offered the device in four color options namely Olive, White, Graphite, and Lavender. The earbuds will be available for purchase starting from August 27.
