Realme 8i was revealed in India as the new budget smartphone and it might be one of the first smartphones to feature a 50MP primary sensor. The handset comes with a MediaTek Helio octa-core chipset, 50MP triple rear camera, big battery, 120Hz fast refresh rate, and more.
Realme 8i features a 6.6 inches IPS LCD display with a Full-HD+ resolution ( 1080 x 2400 pixels ), 120Hz fast refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 20:9 aspect ratio, 401 PPI pixel density, and 600nits peak brightness. In terms of Dimensions, the device measures 164.1 x 75.5 x 8.55mm and weighs 194 grams.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Helio G96 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is accompanied by 4GB/6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 5GB extended RAM support and 64GB/128 GB of storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot up to 1TB.
In terms of camera, the Realme 8i sports a triple rear camera that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The phone boasts a 16-megapixel selfies sensor under the punch-hole at the top left corner. The device is running on Android 11 OS with Realme UI 2.0 on top.
The smartphone is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging. For connectivity, the phone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board, the smartphone sports Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Magnetic induction sensor, Acceleration sensor, Gyro-meter sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
As for the pricing and availability, the Realme 8i comes in two configurations including 4GB+ 64GB priced at Rs. 13,999 and 6GB + 128GB for Rs. 15,999.
