Realme 8s 5G was revealed in India as a new budget 5G smartphone and due to the introductory offer, it might be the cheapest 5G smartphone in the country ( but might be for the first sale only ). The device comes with a 90hz punch-hole display, MediaTek 5G chipset, 64MP triple rear camera, big battery, and more.
Realme 8s 5G features a 6.5 inches IPS LCD display with a 90Hz fast refresh rate, 600 nits peak brightness, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone comes powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The device is running on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. It is accompanied by up to 6GB/8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
In terms of camera, the Realme 8s 5G boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera under the punch-hole at the top left corner.
The Realme 8s 5G comes equipped with a 5000mah battery and supports 33W fast charging. For connectivity, the phone includes 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz/5.1GHz/5.8GHz, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone. Sensors on board, the device sports a Magnetic induction sensor, Light sensor, Proximity Sensor, Gyro-meter, Acceleration sensor, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of DImensions, the handset measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.8mm and weighs 191 grams.
Realme 8s 5G comes in two configurations including 6GB + 128GB priced at Rs. 17,999 and 8GB + 128GB for Rs. 19,999 but the company offered the 6GB model for Rs. 12,599 and 8GB option for 13,999 as the introductory offer. Although, the HDFC and ICICI debit/credit card users are able to get Rs. 1,500 off and also in EMI transactions from the same bank. The smartphone will go for sale on September at 12:00 om via e-commerce platform Flipkart, and realme.com.
