Huawei Nova Y60 smartphone has been launched in South Africa. The handset comes with a mid-range MediaTek’s Helio P35 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery without fast charging support. The device provides the company’s Histen 6.1 audio and panoramic 3D sound to enhance the gaming experience. 

The Huawei Nova Y60 features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The screen also has a drop notch for the front camera on the top. Talking about software, it runs on Android 10 based EMUI 11.01 on the top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC along with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The Huawei Nova Y60 has 4GB of RAM.

The company has provided a 5,000mAh battery and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the power button at the right side. for connectivity options, it features 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone includes a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gravity sensor. The handset brings 64GB of internal memory that is further expandable via a microSD card (up to 512GB).

Other notable features are a triple rear camera setup that includes a 13MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front side, you get an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. The smartphone includes a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gravity sensor.

As for the official pricing and availability, the Huawei Nova Y60 has been priced at ZAR 3,099 (approximately Rs. 15,300) for the single 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage model. It offers two color options, i.e. Crush Green and Midnight Black. Now it is up for pre-orders on the company’s official website and sale will begin from September 1st.
