Vivo’s sub-brand iQoo has announced on Wednesday a new 5G smartphone in China, called iQoo Z5x. The new mid-range smartphone comes with a 120Hz display and 50MP rear camera that price starts at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 18,800). It also has a 5-layer liquid cooling system and an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset.
The iQoo Z5x comes with a 6.58-inch display with full-HD+ resolution (1080 x 2408 pixels). The display features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Speaking about design, it brings an edge-to-edge display with a waterdrop cut and a rectangular-shaped camera module on the back. The dimensions are 163.95 x 75.30 x 8.57mm.
In the case of processor, the iQoo Z5x has MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 SoC clubbed with Mali G68 MC4 GPU and 5G chip. The smartphone runs on Android 11 based OriginOS 1.0 out of the box. The Z5x has a 5-layer liquid-cooling system onboard. The company has offered up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage.
The iQoo Z5x also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone delivers a 5,000mAh battery that charges through 44W FlashCharge fast charging technology. The 44W adapter can charge the battery up to 60 percent within 30 minutes. The dimensions are 163.95 x 75.30 x 8.57mm.
For optics, the 8MP front-facing camera is embedded into the waterdrop notch. In terms of back camera, there is a dual-rear camera module that houses a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port.
The iQoo Z5x comes in three color options and has three memory variants. The smartphone price has been set at CNY 1,599 for the base 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, the 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage model carries a price tag of CNY 1,699, and the top-of-the-line variant is available at CNY 1,899. The color options are Black, White, and Sandstone Orange.
