The Chinese mobile company, ZTE has come up with another budget-friendly smartphone, called Blade A71 but now only for the Malaysian market. There is no information yet on when the company will release handset for the global market including India. The key highlights of the device are a Unisoc SC 9863A SoC, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a larger 6.5-inch display, and a 4,000mAh battery. 

The ZTE Blade A71 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop style notch on the top. The screen has an IPS panel that carries 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. In terms of design, the front side provides you thin bezels and the back penal has a rectangular-shaped camera module with a gradient texture. The smartphone has a dual-SIM slot that supports 4G connectivity.

On the camera front, the ZTE Blade A71 sports a triple-rear camera setup that houses a 16MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front panel, it gets an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock feature. Onboard sensors are accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.

Under the hood, the ZTE Blade A71 is equipped with an octa-core Unisoc SC 9863A SoC alongside IMGG 8322 GPU. It has come up with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For more storage, users can expand phone’s storage capacity via a microSD card (up to 512GB). Speaking about Operating System, the handset runs on Android 11 OS with ZTE’s own skin on the top. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

As for the pricing and availability, the ZTE Blade A71 has been priced in Malaysia at RM 499 (approximately Rs. 8,950/$119) for the sole 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant. It comes in three color options, i.e. Black, Green, and Blue. The company has not revealed yet the purchasing date of the smartphone. So far, there is no information on when the smartphone will be available to other markets.
