Huawei Matepad 5G has been launched with Kirin 820 SoC and 6GB of RAM. It is the slightly downgraded version of Matepad pro 5G. It runs on EMUI 10.1, based on Android 10 out of the box but does not have the support of Google Play Services. A well-known tipster Digital Chat Station shared the launch details of the MatePad 5G.

Huawei Matepad 5G features a 10.4 inches IPS LCD with the resolution of 2000×1200 pixels, 225 PPI, and an 84% screen to body ratio. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by an octa-core Kirin 820 SoC, ARM Mali-G57 MP6 GPU, and coupled with 6GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it comes 128GB of Storage and a dedicated MicroSD card slot for expansion of the storage.

Coming to the camera department, Huawei Matepad 5G is equipped with a 13-Megapixel (primary) sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and an LED flash. Users can record video up to 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps. On the front, there is an 8-Megapixel selfie shooter. The tablet packs a 7,250mah battery and support of 40W fast charging.

For connectivity, the Huawei Matepad 5G includes the support of 4G connectivity, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, 3.1, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, USB On-The-Go. In terms of sensors, It has Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.

For pricing and availability, the Huawei Matepad 5G comes in two color options- Fritillary white and Night Gray. It is currently available for pre-order in China. The sole variant of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage carries a price tag of 3199 Yuan (around Rs.35,000). However, Huawei has not made any statement on its international availability.
