Motorola Moto Edge S smartphone has been launched with Snapdragon 870 SoC and 5000mah battery in China. It is the successor of moto edge series which was launched last year. The handset comes with a 6.7 inches IPS LCD FHD+ resolution display with 90Hz refresh rate, runs on Android 11 OS a quad rear camera setup, and more.
Motorola Edge S features a 6.7 inches IPS LCD FHD+ (1080 x 2400pixels) resolution display with 90Hz refresh rate and dual punch-hole cutout. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 870, Adreno 650 GPU and coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM + 256GB of UFS storage. The handset runs on Android 11 out of the box.
In terms of optics, The Motorola Moto Edge S is equipped with a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-Megapixel (primary) camera + 16-Megapixel (Ultrawide) + 2-Megapixel (macro) + ToF lens with dual-tone led flash. For Selfies and video calls, There is a dual front-facing camera setup of 16-Megapixel + 8-Megapixel. The smartphone packs a 5000mah battery and supports 20W fast charging technology.
For connectivity, The Motorola Moto Edge S includes a dual sim slot, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, QZSS, NavIC, SBAS, and a USB Type C port. The sensor onboard supports an accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, ambient light sensor, proximity and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The handset comes in two gradient colour option – Blue and White.
As for pricing and availability, the base variant of Motorola Edge S carries a price tag of 1999 Yuan (around Rs.22,530) for 6GB + 128GB storage, the mid variant costs 2,399 Yuan (around Rs.27,040) and lastly, the high-end variant is priced at 2,799 Yuan (around Rs.31,550). It is currently up of pre-order and the first sale is going to be live on 3rd February in China.
