Tecno Pova Neo was revealed in India as the new budget smartphone. the Chinese tech company announced the Tecno Pop 5 Pro as the new entry-level smartphone and today the company added another device. The handset comes with a large waterdrop notch display, MediaTek entry-level octa-core SoC, large battery, fast charging support, and more.
Tecno Pova Neo features a 6.58 inches dewdrop notch display with an HD+ resolution, 120Hz Touch sampling rate, 89.42% screen-to-body ratio, 480nits brightness, and 262 PPI pixel density. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset that comes coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is accompanied by 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 5GB virtual RAM support and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage with an expandable memory slot up to 512GB.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Tecno Pova Neo boasts a dual rear camera that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture along with an AI lens. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch. The handset is running on Android 11 with HiOS 7.6 skin on top. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 171.39mm x 77.25mm x 9.1mm.
The Tecno Pova Neo is packed with a 6000mah battery which is touted to provide 55 days standby time, 190 hours of continuous playback along with 18W fast charging support. For connectivity, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, FM radio, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Additionally, the handset comes with DTS Sound enhancement, an IPX2 rating for splash resistance.
For pricing and availability, Tecno Pova Neo comes in a solo configuration of 6GB + 128GB priced at Rs. 12,999 and the company offered the smartphone in three color options Geek Blue, Obsidian Black, and Power Black. The handset will be available through retail stores from January 22. Tecno is providing complimentary pair of Tecno earbuds worth Rs. 1,499 along with the smartphone.
