Oppo has officially announced the Find X5 Pro, its flagship smartphone for 2022. It’s a fairly iterative follow-up to last year’s Find X3 Pro, but that was a great device, and after spending more than a week with a not-yet-final version of its successor I’m expecting the same to hold true. The handset comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a high refresh rate AMOLED screen, 5G connectivity, triple rear cameras, and Super VOOC fast charging.

On the front software, the handset is rumoured to run Android 12 OS out of the box.

The Oppo Find X5 Pro is rumoured to pack a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture; a 50-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It is rumoured to sport a single front camera setup for selfies and video calls, a 32-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a 5000mAh battery. The device supports wireless charging, as well as Super VOOC fast charging.

The smartphone is tipped to be a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that will accept Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. In terms of dimensions, the handset is said to measure 163.70 x 73.90 x 8.50mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 218.00 grams. The device features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. It bears a glass body.
