Itel has launched a new budget smartphone in India. The company has launched the Itel A49 in India, which comes after the A47 and A48 launched previously. The new budget device has been priced under Rs 7,000. As for the key highlights, Itel claims that the device is the most affordable smartphone in India to come with a 6.6-inch HD+ waterdrop notch.
The Itel A49 features a 6.6-inch display with a waterdrop notch on top. The device has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Being an entry-level offering, the smartphone has a 60Hz refresh rate support. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Users can expand the storage up to 128GB using a microSD card slot.
On the back, there is a pill-shaped camera module. It has a dual-camera setup with the LED flash modules placed inside the module. The smartphone has a 5MP main camera and a VGA sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device has a 5MP front camera inside the waterdrop notch. On the front software, the smartphone runs Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box.
There is a 1.4GHz quad-core processor. The exact name of the processor remains unknown. The smartphone packs a 4000 mAh battery. There is no mention of any fast charging support. We expect the phone to support 5W/ 10W charging. It comes with support for AI Face Unlock and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
For pricing and availability, Itel has launched the A49 as its new budget smartphone offering in India. The smartphone comes in a single storage configuration with 2GB of RAM. It is priced at Rs 6,499 and offers 32GB of inbuilt memory. The handset comes in three colour options – Crystal Purple, Dome Blue, and Sky Cyan.
