POCO is all set to introduce the X4 Pro 5G model in India as its latest smartphone in the X series. The Chinese tech company has finally confirmed the launch date of the mid-range handset in the country. According to the company, the X4 Pro 5G will be launched on March 28. To recall, the handset was first unveiled at the recently-concluded MWC 2022 event.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G was first announced alongside the M4 Pro 5G, which was launched in India on February 28. Now, the company is gearing up to expand its portfolio of mid-range devices with the X4 Pro 5G. The India-specific model will reportedly be identical to the global X4 Pro 5G except for sporting a 64MP main camera instead of a 108MP sensor.

The POCO X4 Pro 5G gets a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,200-nits of peak brightness. The smartphone has a punch-hole cut-out, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a plastic body, and prominent bezels. On the rear, it has a chunky, rectangular triple camera unit.

The India-specific POCO X4 Pro 5G will sport a triple rear camera unit, comprising a 64MP (f/1.9) primary camera, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro snapper with LED flash. Up front, it will house a 16MP (f/2.4) camera for selfies. The handset will be able to record 1080p videos at 30fps through the front and rear cameras. It has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast-charging. 

Under the hood, the POCO X4 Pro 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset and boots Android 11-based MIUI 13. The handset will be offered in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants with an expandable storage of up to 1TB. In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone offers dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 5G and GPS.

The official pricing and availability details of the POCO X4 Pro 5G in India will be announced on March 28. It is expected to be priced under Rs. 20,000. It  comes in  Laser Black, Laser Blue, and POCO Yellow are your color options. To sweeten the deal, the handset is preloaded with the YouTube Premium app, plus a two-month trial for the video-streaming platform’s ad-free tier.
