Samsung has launched the Galaxy A23 smartphone in India. As for the key highlights, the device has a 90Hz display, a Snapdragon 680 processor, a quad rear camera system, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging. The smartphone is available in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB configurations that are priced at Rs. 19,499 and Rs. 20,999, respectively. It is already on sale via Samsung's e-store.

The Galaxy A23 has been introduced in India without any fanfare as Samsung looks to refresh its portfolio of mid-range device in the country. The South Korean tech company has also introduced a Galaxy A13 model around the Rs. 15,000 price-point. The Galaxy A23 will take on rivals from brands such as Motorola, Realme, Xiaomi as well as Vivo.

The Samsung Galaxy A23 flaunts a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2408 pixels) LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It also gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display. The smartphone features a waterdrop notch design, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has a quad camera setup and an LED flash.

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy A23 packs a quad rear camera setup comprising a 50MP (f/1.8, OIS) primary camera, a 5MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro snapper, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP (f/2.2) camera for selfies and video calls. The rear camera can record 4K videos at 30fps while the front camera can film videos in 1080p at 30fps.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A23 is fueled by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 processor, paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable up to 1TB). It boots Android 12 OS topped with the latest One UI 4.1 and houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast-charging. Connectivity options on the handset include Bluetooth 5.0, dual-SIMs, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, and a Type-C port.

For official pricng and availability, the Samsung Galaxy A23 costs Rs. 19,499 for the 6GB/128GB variant and Rs. 20,999 for the 8GB/128GB configuration. The smartphone comes in shades of Light Blue, Black, and Orange. The handset is currently up for grabs via official Samsung's e-store website.
