Samsung has launched its budget smartphone, called the Galaxy A13, in the Indian market. The handset is available in four different shades and three variants. As for the key highlights, the handset features a large LCD screen, an Exynos 850 chipset, quad rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support. It starts at a price of Rs. 14,999 for the base 4GB/64GB variant.

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A13 in Indian market alongside the A23 model. Both the smartphones were announced in the European markets earlier this month. The A13 and A23 share a lot in common including the same size and type of screen, same cameras, and the same battery as well as fast-charging capability. The A13 takes on rivals around the Rs. 15,000 price-point.

The Samsung Galaxy A13 offers a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2408 pixels) LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The smartphone has a waterdrop notch design, slim bezels, a plastic body, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has a quad camera setup, paired with an LED flash. Dimensions-wise, the handset measures 8.8mm in thickness and weighs 195g.

The Samsung Galaxy A13 sports a quad rear camera setup that consists of a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 5MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro snapper, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP (f/2.2) camera for clicking selfies. Both the front and rear cameras can record 1080p videos at 30fps. The handset draws power from a 5,000mAh battery which supports 25W fast-charging. 

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A13 is powered by an Exynos 850 chipset and boots One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. The handset comes in 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB variants with expandable storage of up to 1TB via a micro-SD card. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a Type-C port.

As for pricing and availability, the Samsung Galaxy A13 costs Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant, Rs. 15,999 for the 4GB/128GB model, and Rs. 17,499 for 6GB/128GB configuration. The handset is available in Light Blue, Black, White, and Orange colors. The device is currently up for grabs via Samsung's e-store in India.
