South Korean tech giant, Samsung announced two Galaxy M-series devices—the Galaxy M33 and the Galaxy M23. Both these handsets share somewhat similar specifications, except for the battery capacity and cameras. These smartphones flaunt a 6.6-inch TFT display with a Full HD+ resolution. They also have a water-drop-shaped notch at the top, which includes the selfie camera. 

The Samsung Galaxy M33 and Galaxy M23 share similar designs and specifications, except for the cameras and battery capacity. Both smartphones boast of a 6.6-inch TFT display that has a Full HD+ 1080 x 2408 resolution, with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Powering the Galaxy M23 and the M33 is an unspecified octa-core processor.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM options, along with 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has microSD card support. On the other hand, the M23 packs 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Galaxy M23 also has a microSD card slot. Both the Galaxy M23 and the Galaxy M33 ship with an octa-core processor and run Android 12 out of the box with One UI 4.0 skin on top.

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy M33 features a quad-camera setup, while the M23 comes with a triple camera. The Galaxy M33’s camera module includes a 50MP primary sensor, 5MP ultra-wide lens and a pair of 2MP depth and macro camera units. The Galaxy M23, on the other hand, has a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Both the M23 and the M33 feature an 8MP selfie camera that has an f/2.2 aperture lens. 

The Samsung Galaxy M23 ships with a 5,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy M33 is loaded with a 6,000mAh battery. Both these new M-series smartphones have 5G support and a fingerprint sensor. In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy M23 measures 165.5 x 77 x 8.4mm and weighs 198 grams, whereas the Galaxy M33 measures 165.4 x 76.9 x 9.4mm and weighs 215 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy M33 comes in green, blue and brown colour options, while the Galaxy M23 is launched in deep green and light blue colour options. As of now, Samsung hasn’t announced the official pricing and availability of the Galaxy M23 and the Galaxy M33. However, both these devices are expected to launch in the European and Indian markets in the next few weeks.
