South Korean tech giant, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S22 series in India last month. The Galaxy S22 series comprises three smartphones—the Galaxy S22, the S22+ and the S22 Ultra. The company has now launched a new RAM and storage configuration for its top of the line S22 Ultra and also unveiled a new 1TB storage option for the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra packs in a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Powering the smartphone is a 4nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor coupled with the Adreno 730 GPU and the Snapdragon X65 5G modem. The handset is available in three colours—Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Burgundy. 

There’s a quad-rear camera setup comprising a 108MP sensor with an F1.8 aperture, 85° field-of-view, and phase-detection autofocus. It gets accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide camera that has an F2.2 aperture and a 120° field-of-view. The handset also offers a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 36° field-of-view, OIS, and an F2.4 aperture. There is also an additional 10MP telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom, an 11° field-of-view, OIS, and an F4.9 aperture. 

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra was available in two storage options—a 12GB + 256GB variant and a 12GB + 512GB model priced at ₹1,09,999 and ₹1,18,999 respectively. Now, Samsung has introduced a new 1TB storage option with the same 12GB RAM as standard. The new 1TB variant costs ₹1,34,999 and will be available at an exclusive sale event on the company’s own e-commerce platform—Samsung Live—on March 28 at 6 PM IST.

Customers who purchase the Galaxy S22 Ultra 1TB edition during the live sale event can get a Galaxy Watch 4 for ₹2,999 as part of the new launch promotions. In addition, consumers of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series will receive an upgrade incentive of ₹8,000, while owners of other devices can receive an upgrade bonus of ₹5,000 when they purchase the Galaxy S22 Ultra 1TB variant.
