Motorola on April 9 (Friday) unveiled its new smartphone in Indian market –called the Moto G22. The handset comes with a budget-friendly price tag and useful specifications. The main key attraction features of the Moto G22 are a 6.5-inch HD+ Max Vision display, 50MP quad-rear camera setup, a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

The Motorola Moto G22 brings a 6.5-inch HD+ Max Vision display that carries a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the G22 has provided a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC along with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is paired with 4GB of RAM. It brings 64GB of internal storage that is further expandable via a microSD card (up to 1TB). Besides, it measures 163.95 x 74.94 x 8.49mm and weighs around 185 grams.

On the camera front, the Motorola Moto G22 comes with a quad-camera setup on the rear side that houses a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 lens, a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens and a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 lens. Coming to the front side, there’s a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 lens. The dual-SIM supporting device runs on Android 12 out of the box. 

The Motorola Moto G22 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W turbo power charging support. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Other sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The device brings a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, FM Radio, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

As for the official pricing and availability, the Motorola Moto G22 is priced in India at Rs. 10,999 for the lone 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be available through e-commerce platform store Flipkart starting Wednesday, April 13. Customers can purchase the device in three different color options, i.e. Iceberg Blue, Cosmic Black, and Mint Green.
