POCO has launched its latest budget smartphone offering, called the M4 5G, in India. It starts at Rs. 13,000 for its base configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and will be up for grabs via Flipkart from May 5 onward. As for the key highlights, the device offers an LCD screen, a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, dual rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery.

POCO is focusing on expanding its portfolio of M-series smartphones in India. The M4 5G is the third device in the line-up after M4 Pro 4G and the M4 Pro 5G, which were launched earlier this year. The device will compete against the likes of , Redmi 10, Note 11, Motorola Moto G52, Vivo T1, and several other handsets under the Rs. 15,000 category.

The POCO M4 5G bears a 6.58-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also gets an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. The smartphone has a waterdrop notch design with noticeable bezels and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it sports a "Hypnotic Swirl" design and a rectangular camera unit.

In terms of optics, the POCO M4 5G is equipped with a dual rear camera arrangement headlined by a 50MP (f/1.8) primary lens and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, the device has an 8MP (f/2.45) selfie shooter. The smartphone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery which supports 18W charging.

Under the hood, the POCO M4 5G is backed by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It boots MIUI 13 baked on top of Android 12 OS out of the box. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a Type-C port.

For official pricing and availability, the POCO M4 5G costs Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant and Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB/128GB model. The smartphone comes in Cool Blue, Power Black, and POCO Yellow color variants. It will be available for purchase via e-commerce platform store Flipkart from May 5 onward.
