Poco M4 5G was announced in Indian market as the new budget 5G device from the Chinese Tech products manufacturer. It is a degraded version of Poco M4 Pro 5G which was announced back in February 2022. As for the key highlights, the handset comes with a fast refresh rate LCD display, a MediaTek octa-core chipset, dual rear camera, big battery, fast charging, 5G connectivity with 7 bands support, and more.
Poco M4 5G bears a 6.58 inches IPS LCD display with Full-HD+ ( 1080 x 2400 pixels ) resolution, 90Hz fast refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1500:1 contrast ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Mali G57 MP2 GPU. It is accompanied by up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Poco M4 5G boasts a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and a 2-megapixel portrait lens. The smartphone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch for selfies and video calls. It comes running on Android 12 with MIUI 13 skin on top. The device is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging.
For connectivity options, the Poco M4 5G includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, and a USB Tye-C port. Sensors onboard, the handset sports an Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Electronic Compass, IR Blaster, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 163.99 x 76.09 x 8.9mm and weighs 200 grams.
For pricing and availability, the Poco M4 5G comes in two configurations: 4GB + 64GB priced at Rs. 12,999 and 6GB + 128GB priced at Rs. 14,999. The smartphone comes in three color options namely Poco Yellow, Power Black and Cool Blue. The handset will go for sale on May 5 via e-commerce platform website store Flipkart and the users can avail of Rs. 2000 discount on SBI credit card and EMI transactions.
