Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has launched two new budget smartphones Redmi 10 Power and Redmi 10A in India. The two devices are part of the Redmi 10 series in the country that also has Redmi 10. The first handset is primarily focused on the battery capacity and the second one is a slightly affordable version of the standard model.
The Redmi 10 Power sports a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and 400 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, the choice of processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 with Adreno 610 GPU. The smartphone is available in a single configuration featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space.
On the back, there is a dual-camera setup including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera on the smartphone has a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. At the heart, the smartphone will boot MIUI 13 based on Android 11. The battery capacity on the device is 6,000mAh and is supported by a 10W charging speed.
The Redmi 10A sports a 6.53-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) TFT IPS display with 400 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Helio G25 processor with ARM GE8320 GPU. There are two configuration variants featuring 3GB RAM with 32GB onboard storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.
As for the camera department, the Redmi 10A has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. At the heart, it will boot MIUI 12.5 based on Android but the exact version is unknown.
For official pricing and availability, Redmi has priced the Redmi 10 Power at INR 14,999 for the sole 8GB/128GB configuration. The color options include Sporty Orange and Power Black. The Redmi 10A is priced at INR 8,499 for the 3GB/32GB model and at INR 9,499 for the 4GB/64GB model. It will be sold in Charcoal Black, Sea Blue, and Slate Grey color options.
